Chicken

Our chickens are a slow to mature, barn reared hen which gives them time to put down a good layer of fat under the skin resulting in a chicken with plenty of meat on the carcass, crispy skin, a succulent meat on the thigh perfect for roasting, or throwing in a casserole. Our free range chickens come the Mercer family in Shropshire these are outdoor reared hen with a more pronounced flavour, and slightly darker meat. The Mercer family also supply our free range cockerels at Christmas, new year, and easter.
